In 2008 we lost a very close friend to stomach cancer at the age of 35. Ted Dore was a great all around person, who finally achieved his goal of many years, of becoming a Toronto Police Officer in 2004. Unfortunately, cancer struck and he was only able to live out his dream job for a few years. Teddy loved hockey, fishing and telling stories with the guys. If he was your friend, he would fit into every conversation and make you laugh until it hurt. He was one of the good guys and is missed tremendously by all!

This year will be our 6th annual golf tournament in memory of Ted Dore. The $60,000 we raised over the last five years went towards the Ted Dore Fair Play Hockey League, the Ted Dore Equipment Bank and to various organizations that allow children in the Sudbury area to play minor sports, regardless of their family’s financial situation.
