Our Story

Aniko Pasta Artigianale was born out of the local food movement, with a mission to produce and distribute artisanal pasta made with ingredients from Northern Ontario. Our aim is to support farmers and growers in the region, doing our part to strengthen the local food system, while keeping the pasta making tradition of our Italian ancestors alive.

Our Products

100% Canadian durum wheat semolina.
Local ingredients. Made with love.

Aniko Pasta Artigianale produces a variety of pastas: bronze cut, with and without egg, gnocchi, pasta filled with meat, seafood and vegetables.

We use Canadian non-GMO durum semolina flour, a high protein, pale yellow wheat that has been used since the Roman Empire to make pasta. As well, products are sourced as locally as possible, ensuring freshness and a high nutrient content.

Mezze Maniche
Mezze Maniche
Mezze Maniche, or ‘half sleeves’, is a tubular ridged pasta that is half the size of a rigatoni that goes well with dense sauces. Made without eggs.
Penne
Penne
Penne is a short cylinder-shaped pasta with ends that are cut at an angle, whose shape was inspired by a quill. Penne translates to ‘pen’ in English. Perfect for little hands, too.
Tagliatelle
An elegant long, flat ribbon-shaped pasta similar to fettuccine that originated in the Emilia Romagna and Marche regions of Italy, typically 6 to 8 mm wide. Perfect with a Bolognese sauce. Made with eggs.
Ravioli
Ravioli
Pillow-shaped stuff pasta featuring a variety of seasonal fillings. From spinach and ricotta to meat and seafood.
Gnocchi
Gnocchi
Miniature potato dumplings made with flour, local potatoes and eggs that pair well with a variety of sauces, from a classic tomato sauce to wild boar ragu.
Tagliolini
Tagliolini
A cylindrical-shaped pasta similar to tagliatelle originating from the Molise and Piedmont regions of Italy that is best enjoyed with simple sauces like butter and shaved truffles.
Spaghetti alla Chitarra
Spaghetti alla Chitarra
Spaghetti alla Chitarra or guitar string spaghetti, a traditional square-cut spaghetti from the Abruzzo region of Italy that is about 2-3 mm thick, whose shape holds sauces very well.
Lasagne Sheets
Thin tender sheets of fresh pasta that can be used to make lasagna and cannelloni.
